An Artistic Phenomenon: Discover the “Low Poly” Collection by Artist Codak

Partager

Ardentis ART – To start 2019 in style, Ardentis Dental Clinic Renens embraces the Low Poly Art movement with a unique collection specially created by the artist Codak.

Codak is a Swiss painter. Since 2007, he has been teaching drawing and painting in his studio in Renens to students of all ages and backgrounds. www.atelieru.ch

His real name is Lionel Bourquin, and he graduated from the École Cantonale d’Art du Valais (ECAV). A multifaceted artist, he feels a constant need to create and a strong desire to express himself through images.

He has explored various modes of expression and tools to best convey the messages he wishes to transmit. Thus, paintings, installations, and performances have become his different ways to bring his ideas to life.

Thanks to his extensive knowledge in the field of imagery, he is often commissioned for various creative and artistic projects. Many companies and individuals call on him for graphic work, exhibitions, performances, or live painting.

The Low Poly Art movement builds on basic geometric shapes, using simple forms: circles, squares, triangles, and lines that create structured architecture and dynamic compositions.

To better understand its origins, the Low Poly Art trend comes from a technique initially developed for 3D modeling and video game scenes. This method creates images using only two-dimensional polygons (meaning no curves or shapes). The term “Low Poly” does not imply “low quality” but refers to a computer graphics technique. The entire team at Ardentis Dental Clinic Renens, located at 49 Rue de Lausanne, invites you to discover this exhibition starting February 1, 2019, during opening hours, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
