Ardentis ART
Christelle Genier is an artist based in the western Lausanne area. Entirely self-taught, she began exploring drawing and painting at a very young age.
Over the years, she has become familiar with many artistic techniques: watercolor, pencil, charcoal, ink, and acrylic paint. Often, different media come together in a single work: golden ink mingles with watercolor and pencil, creating striking contrasts.
After various experiences, including a collaboration with Microsoft to create visuals for a smartphone app and working with writers on book cover designs, the artist now presents her very first exhibition at the Ardentis clinic in Renens.
The works on display reveal an elegant and subtle universe. The artist unveils a series of female portraits in a figurative yet decidedly modern style, enriched by diverse influences. Lines, geometric shapes, and touches of watercolor frame faces delicately rendered in graphite pencil or paint.
