Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening is a safe and personalized technique that allows you to lighten the shade of your teeth for a brighter, more natural-looking smile. At Ardentis, our experts first assess your oral health to recommend the most suitable method for you, whether it is an in-office treatment, at-home whitening, a combined approach, or custom-made trays. Thanks to professional-grade products and careful follow-up, we ensure harmonious, long-lasting results that respect your tooth enamel.
THE ESSENTIAL
Teeth whitening helps you restore brightness and radiance to your smile. Ardentis offers professional techniques, performed either in the clinic or at home, to ensure safe and long-lasting results.
Why undergo teeth whitening?
Over time, your diet (coffee, tea, wine, tobacco) and certain oral hygiene factors can cause your teeth to become discolored. Teeth whitening allows you to lighten their shade and restore a radiant smile, safely and under the care of our dentists and dental hygienists.
What teeth whitening methods are offered at Ardentis?
Over time, certain dietary habits and the way you care for your oral hygiene can cause your teeth to become discolored.
To address this, Ardentis clinics offer four different teeth whitening methods, tailored to your needs, to help you restore the brightness of your smile. Discover them now.

Express Glow
For an immediate “wow” effect, we recommend this treatment once a year, combined with your scaling session with the dental hygienist.
It’s a simple procedure that targets surface stains.
A quick treatment that takes only 15 minutes in the chair.
In-clinic Teeth Whitening
- This technique is carried out exclusively in the dental chair.
- During the treatment, a higher-concentration product is applied, targeting mild discoloration.
- The session lasts between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, allowing the product to act for a longer time.
We recommend this method if you are short on time and looking for immediate results (for example, ahead of a wedding).

At-home Teeth Whitening
If you have sensitive teeth, we can adapt the product concentration used in the trays.
This technique is carried out by you at home.
First, custom-made trays are created by your dentist using a digital impression and 3D printing of your dental models.
This type of treatment provides long-term results and takes place over a period of 3 to 15 days.
The trays should be worn for 1 hour per day or overnight, depending on your preference.
Premium Teeth Whitening
This combination of both treatments is ideal if you are looking for a very light and long-lasting shade.
Premium teeth whitening consists of an in-clinic whitening treatment, followed by at-home whitening, for optimal and long-lasting results.

How a teeth whitening treatment works
- Oral health assessment: An examination is performed to check the condition of your teeth and gums before any treatment.
- Choice of the appropriate method: Technique selection tailored to your expectations.
- Treatment application: Custom-made whitening trays are provided at the clinic for home use.
- Personalized follow-up: You receive advice to help maintain a bright, radiant smile.
Care and advice
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure and is therefore not covered by basic insurance.
Supplemental insurance may provide coverage depending on the contract.
To maintain results longer: limit coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco, and have regular dental scaling.

“The light of a smile is worth far more than words.”
Frequently Asked Questions about Teeth Whitening
Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes, when performed by a professional, teeth whitening is safe and carefully supervised. The products used in the clinic or with custom-made trays meet strict standards and are tailored to your needs to protect your enamel and gums. In contrast, some over-the-counter or online products can be abrasive and may pose risks to your oral health.
What is the difference between in-clinic and at-home whitening?
In-office whitening uses a more concentrated product applied under direct supervision to provide fast and immediate results. At-home whitening, using custom-made trays, works gradually over several days and delivers long-lasting whitening. Combining both approaches, known as Premium whitening, offers the most radiant results.
Does teeth whitening cause sensitivity?
You may experience temporary sensitivity during or after the treatment, especially to cold. This is normal and usually disappears quickly. At Ardentis, we adjust the product concentration and offer specific solutions to reduce tooth sensitivity and ensure your comfort.
How long does teeth whitening last?
The results typically last between 1 and 3 years, depending on your lifestyle habits. Smoking, coffee, tea, red wine, or poor oral hygiene can accelerate tooth discoloration. Regular maintenance, including professional cleanings and, if needed, whitening touch-ups, helps you maintain a brighter smile for longer.
What is the cost of teeth whitening in Switzerland?
At Ardentis, several teeth whitening options are available to you: the express glow treatment from CHF 79, in-office whitening from CHF 499, at-home whitening from CHF 569, and Premium whitening (in-office + at-home) from CHF 799. Depending on your supplementary insurance, part of the aesthetic treatment costs may be covered.
